What is Call Logging

Call logging is a process of collection and processing of statistica data about telephone calls processed by the organization. Don’t confuse call logger system with call recording and phone tapping. To log a call means gather all the data about it.

Call logging is a totality of operations used to gather data about each exact call – time when call was initiated, time of answer, duration, location of caller, Caller ID, wait time in a queue, and so on. Advanced call logging algorithms can also measure more improved metrics. Call logging in call center software often works as live reporting, where collected data is provided to call center managers via real-time dashboards with deatilea data baout all calls received withing exact period of time. Call logging doesn’t encompass such terms, as call recording and call monitoring.
