What is Call Screening

Call screening (phone call screening) is a process of evaluating call’s characteristics before answering it. It may include listening to pre-left voicemail messages, checking Caller ID and time zone. In the US, this term – screening calls – is also used to describe a feature of blocking phone numbers to avoid receiving calls from them.

Call screening may be confused with call logging, but still it is absolutely different kind of service. Call screening means all the data which can be collected regarding the call before it is answered, while call logging gathers data during and after the call. Call screening is used to make decisions of how better answer the call, and this data is provided immediately when call is recieved by the company.
