What is Shrinkage Rate

Shrinkage rate is a call center metrics that helps to measure how much time from the paid time agents spend on answering customer calls and completing their other direct responsibilities.

Shrinkage rate measures the difference between time agents are paid, and the time they really spend on doing their job – answering calls and servicing customers. Therefore, the difference between these two durations is called call center shrinkage and the less it is, the better it is for business.
