Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI)

Glossary

What is Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI)

The Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) is a metric used to measure and evaluate the level of satisfaction that customers have with a product, service, or the overall experience they’ve had with a business or organization. It is typically expressed as a numerical score or percentage and is based on surveys, feedback, and customer responses.

A higher CSI score indicates greater customer satisfaction, while a lower score suggests lower satisfaction. The goal of tracking the CSI is to identify areas for improvement and to ensure that customers are content with the quality of products or services provided.
